Create API Keys

Requests to the Geophrase APIs must be authorized using API key credentials. You should use server-side flow when your application needs to access Geophrase APIs on behalf of the user, for example when user enters a Geophrase on your application's shipping address. An API key is a long string containing upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscores, and can contain other URL safe special characters, such as

Create an API key

1. Go to API keys page

2. Click + Create API Key button near top right corner.

3. Enter a API Key name for your own reference.

   If you create more than one API key, each API key name must be unique.

4. Select an API Key Permission.

   • Full Access: API key can access all APIs provided by Geophrase Business.

   • Custom Access: API key has only specified permissions.

   You will be able to change API key's permissions any time on API key page in the dashboard.

5. Click Create & View.

6. Once the key is created, the key is displayed only once for security reasons.

7. Click the Copy icon button next to the API key and save it somewhere safe.

   You can create new API key, but you can never retrieve this API key again.
   Never expose this API key to the client side to avoid misuse.

8. After you copied and saved the API key, click OK.
